What we collect

We collect the details needed to create and deliver your order: your name, email, shipping address, order details, the child information and stories you choose to share, and optional photos. If you request a welcome discount, we also collect your email marketing consent and, only if you choose, a birthday month and day for reminder preferences. Stripe processes payment details; Little Chapter does not receive your full card or bank information.

How we use it

We use this information to take payment, create your personalized artwork, communicate with you, provide a private order page, deliver the finished product, prevent fraud, and respond to support requests.

Services we use

We share only the information needed with service providers that help operate the shop: Stripe for payments; Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites for hosting, databases, and private image storage; Resend for transactional email; PostHog for privacy-limited, anonymous shop analytics; and the carrier used to deliver your order. Some providers may process information outside Canada under their own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Children’s information and photos

The shop is intended for adults ordering a keepsake. Please only submit information or photos you are authorized to share. They are used to make and fulfil the requested Little Chapter, not for advertising or public display without separate permission.

Retention and security

We keep order information and artwork files only as long as reasonably needed to create and deliver the product, support the order, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We periodically remove material that is no longer needed. Private one-time links, restricted owner access, limited collection, and appropriate technical safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access.

Website analytics

We use PostHog to measure shop activity and improve the experience. If you allow advertising cookies and contact matching, Meta Pixel measures product views, additions to your bag, checkout starts and confirmed purchases, including their value and currency. On checkout pages, Meta may also use hashed versions of the buyer's email address and phone number to match these events to a Meta account. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. Meta may use cookies, browser information and your IP address to associate events with ads you have seen. We do not share names, addresses, birth dates, gender, character descriptions or uploaded photos for matching. Automatic matching is restricted to checkout pages and email/phone fields; session replay and automatic event creation are disabled. Advertising measurement and matching stay off if you decline or your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Welcome offers and email

If you opt in, we use your email to send the requested welcome code and occasional Little Chapter updates. If you separately choose a birthday reminder, we store only the month and day you provide for that preference. You may unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us; unsubscribing also turns off birthday reminders.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask us to delete information that we no longer need to retain.
